Flora

When we lived in Nevada on 30 acres of high desert land, I spent one spring and summer cataloguing each wildflower that appeared.  The resulting photo album sits on my entry table, a reminder of the beauty we found in the high desert.

Now we live in Hawaii...and there is a (larger) body of flora to catalog. Included here are the fruit, flowers, trees and yes, even some VERY weird fungi which we have found on and around our small farm.

The pictures, with one exception, were taken by us. The exception is the Sea Anemone fungus.  It appeared one morning, and I could only snap a poor-quality cell-phone picture lit by my key chain flashlight---not enough to do it justice.  The picture I have listed is properly attributed to the author.

We are (slowly) learning the names and species of plants here.....and so many of the photos are generically named: "orchid #1, bromeliad #2" or even "I don't know #1,"etc.  PLEASE feel free to contact us with the real names!
