......that I should have a couch.
I need a couch to "just rest my eyes" when it is really too early to go to bed...
And to lay on while I read a book (which then happens to fall across my face while I rest my eyes...)
And to sprawl on while watching TV.

They are an occasional surprise. "Things" found in my rummaged books. I get my reading supplies from several places: yard sales, Salvation Army, the Episcopal Thrift store, and .....the dump. Kea'au has a recycle area at the dump, and a seatainer is filled with donated books which can be purchased at $1.00 per pound.

I just finished reading a book. I won't mention the title, because it got great reviews, and I hated it.....so I must be somehow lacking in my literary "panache."
Now, most books have a prologue, a problem, discussion of the problem, resolution of the problem, and postlogue. The book I just finished.......didn't seem to have any of that. It was like watching congressional hearings on c-span. Lots of....nothing.

I finally got a desk for the otherwise useless corner downstairs. With a bookshelf on the other wall, there is now a place to run my "work" computer. I had brought it with me from my office in Nevada, but hadn't found a suitable place for it.

“Orange!?” I was incredulous. At a church potluck several years ago, we all stood and introduced ourselves, described our favorite animal and preferred color. I will overlook the fact that he named ME his favorite animal, but when he said his favorite color was orange, I was stunned....but not speechless. “I’ve been married to you for twenty-six years,” I blurted, “and this is the first time you have ever told me you liked orange!” He replied “yeah, and you
