I just finished reading a book. I won't mention the title, because it got great reviews, and I hated it.....so I must be somehow lacking in my literary "panache."

Now, most books have a prologue, a problem, discussion of the problem, resolution of the problem, and postlogue. The book I just finished.......didn't seem to have any of that.  It was like watching congressional hearings on c-span.  Lots of....nothing. 

There was one redeeming item, however.  There was a discussion of a dinner, and the heroine stated she would make scalloped tomatoes.  Not potatoes, but tomatoes.  Never heard of such a thing! So, since our tomato plants are being rather fecund....tonight we shall have marinated pork with papaya/lime salsa and Scalloped Tomatoes.

I guess the book wasn't a total loss....
