HI - Hilo, Hilo International Airport
January 30th
Yeah, it's been a busy few months, so here's some catch up:
Wedding was wonderful....I already told you that.
We bought a new car.....and then Toyota recalled all Rav4's (among others....). Fortunately (I suppose) Hawaii actually gets its Toyotas from Japan, and Japan-built cars are not included. So our brand-new 2010 Rav4 is NOT being recalled. Good thing, since the Equinox is still in the shop getting fixed. We hope.

Well, for starters, clean the house, since the wedding was to be held here.
Build a deck (or, at least nag DH into building one) to carry the tables and chairs to seat the guests.....
....speaking of which, the guesthouse needs a bathroom and "touching up" to be guest ready. Another chore for DH.
Order tent.
Order tarp to cover the uncovered portion of the the deck (because a January wedding on the Hamakua coast will UNDOUBTEDLY be rained on.)
Clean house (again).
January 12th
We've been working (hard) to get ready for the wedding this weekend.
DH finished the deck so we now have a nice, covered area in which to gather and celebrate.

The food and drinks are bought. The tent and additional deck temporary tarp cover are arranged for. The yard has been mowed, weed-eated, de-pooped (um, dogs and cats, you know...).

So, when there are no rental cars available, and you don't know how long it will take to fix (or if it can even be fixed) one's car, one buys.
